We have been a family owned business since 1933. Wilson’s started out as a grain and coal elevator. When Russell and Bob parted ways in 1983, Bob took the Bremen and Lakeville store, while Russell kept the Rochester place. With this happening, Bob kept the Wilson Coal and Grain name, so the Rochester location got changed to Wilson Fertilizer & Grain. In 1947 we started manufacturing our own bird seed, which shipped to many different locations throughout the U.S. In 1995 the bird seed plant burned and was never rebuilt. We have added many new storage bins to our facility in the past 20 years, with our newest being in 2014. In 2013, Jeff and Wendy Zent took over the ownership of the company. In 2015 we built a new shop for storage of our semi and maintenance work. This year we are currently working on putting in a new scale, that will be up and running by the start of harvest.
